Continued birthday awesome!

So yesterday was pretty much the best day ever? Or at least the best I've had in a while ^-^ Waz and I trekked to Hull wherein there was aquarium happiness. There were all sorts of gorgeous sea creatures and randomness and omg little poison arrow frogs in the most breath taking shade of blue ever and jellyfish and so much giddy inducing pretty. Maybe I should have gone into marine-related research I'm sure I'd be happy. Oh hindsight you are a shitter.

After that we stopped on the way back for a quick coffee because oh MAN was it raining. Raining sideways. So we got soaked on the short walk back to the car. Then also on the way home the boy decided that lunch out would be nice so we did that. We stopped in one of out local pubs for a quick and relaxed bite and then came home for a few hours. Waz, bless him, took a nap and I snuggled him a bit while he snored and then started fussing with what to wear.

A short shower, left over cold pizza from the night before and dolling up later we head round the corner to Caroline and Leon's for pre-Wendy House boozing wherein I was surprised (totally surprised) with presents and birthday cake! Yay. I felt very spoilt and loved. Helen got me a rather lovely porcelain doll - she's all grown up and appeals to my tragic inner goth with her bride-in-black ensemble. She even has delicate little thin wooden wings. And she's a red-head so she appeals all round. Ann, who is a fantastic gift giver, made me a gorgeous purple and pearl dragon fly hair clip and a little half-apron with cherry appliques. I'm not sure if she made the pinny or not I forgot to ask but I think she did and it's beautiful. Plus Caz got me cake and bought me birthday drinks so I was truly spoilt all round.

I've never really been so spoilt before! I didn't organise anything party-wise this year so it was really nice to be made a fuss of, especially after the lame news on Thursday.

^-^ Yay. And now I think I shall go to T'Shop  and invest in baking materials so I can pretend to be a domestic goddess in my sexy new apron.

Now I'm 24 ^-^

Yesterday was lovely ^-^ Went to work because otherwise I'd have been milling about on me own at home all day. Came home and opened me cards over a nice cuppa tea. Then my boy arrived home with flowers and announced we were going for dinner. I suggested Frankie and Bennies because damn their ribs are good and got all dolled up and off we went. Not before catching up with my awesome housemates and receiving lovely presents. Yay Neil Gaiman's American Gods and chocolate =D I'm a simple creature and very happy.

I also bought myself some pretty new bras because damn did I need them and I figured why not justify pretty lovely, well fitting (slightly pricy) ones by a) it being my birthday present to myself and b) buying on brastop.com for a good discount off high-street prices. They should be here by the weekend.

Dinner was mega tasty and chilled out and then we came home and watched the latest episode of Camelot.

All in all quiet but sweet and I felt spoilt so yay. =D My birthday present from Waz being tickets to the aquarium has me mega-excited for the weekend as well. Heeeee.

Picture update soon methinks. (I keep promising, I know)

3 Things I'm grateful for
1) Waz!
2) Cake
3) Sunshine

=D

Sleepy tired

Oh Fridays... you are exhausting!

Work is okay. Dull but okay. Heather, my boss, agrees whole heartedly.

Yesterday saw Waz's birthday. 38 he is now, old codger in the making. We kept it a quiet one, I cooked tasty dinner and fed him wine and brought him a little cupcake with a candle to blow out. We then curled up with Inception which second time round is a fairly awesome film still. I got him The Script's newest album and some chocolate and on the way over from the states (I totally left it too late to order) is an Indians tshirt because he's a nerdy baseball fan. Nerd.

It was lovely.

Today he's in a foul mood because he's come down with a lurgy and has been stuck in traffic most of the day. So he's effing and blinding and muttering to himself. What a grump.

It's a good job I love him.

D&D in about an hour or so. Dinner in the oven. (Totally bought us a pre-made pastabake so I didn't have to cook again)

And tomorrow is lunch with Annie - Her treating me to Wagamama's (Yay) for my birthday which she will be away for (Boo) - and then Wendyhouse. I am contemplating outfit choices. To corset, or not to corset, that is the question. I love my corsets. I feel as though I ought to wear my over-bust black lacey job because I haven't worn it out much. I've not danced in it though. I won't be drinking much booze wise because I'm poor and perfectly capable of dancing without the Dutch courage so but the heat often drives me to consume vast quantities of water.

If in doubt I will wear my leather underbust which has never done me wrong. It is starting to show some signs of wear though and I think I'd like to try and keep it alive some longer.

Meh. Outfit blurb. Nobody's really interested in that are they?

Now - to rescue dinner from burning! And give it a nommy doom.

Still recovering...

Larp is tiring. As is driving several hours to get there and back, pitching and taking down tents, not sleeping much and it being very hot.

Awesome weekend. Much good stuff happened. There was tea and cake and new friends and old friends, IC and OOC. All in all good stuff. Very Keen for the next event now but am going to have to ask for the ticket to go as a birthday present otherwise might not be able to afford it. House moving, it are expensive.

Had a lovely day yesterday, was at Jon and Chrissy's for dinner after work. Those two are more 'his' friends than mine but a gorgeous couple, really warm and really friendly and I look forward to getting to know them better. They've just recently (7 months ago recently) sprogged and the wee one is a super cute wee boy going by Ewan. They are fab parents (not that I know! But they seem happy doing it and have a really earthy, calm approach to it) and very much in love which is just great to be witness to. Needless to say we wound up staying far later than originally intended hence still being tired. Argh. So Tired.

Tonight was Mother's Meeting. A good un but sadly sans Emma. She got called away on Super Important Laweryly business. We caught up with Han and had chilli followed by lemon tart and swiss roll. Decadent and lovely. Lucky Han has been in Japan for the last month so there was lots of Japan related nostalgia and envy. It's great to have her back though, I missed her dopey ways.

House moving is almost upon us. Work is dull but mostly steady. Waz and I are off to Wales this weekend which I am VERY much looking forward to. Yes it's a fairly long way to go... but we get well looked after and it's always nice to see the in-laws who I am very fond of.

Also I got my birthday pressie from Cat and her mummy early. I'd been on about getting a sewing machine and it turns out that Cat's mummy, Babs, wheels and deals them at auction and stuff. The whole family were tailors don't you know and she knows her onions. So I have a lovely Brother sat on my table, patiently waiting to eat me. I hope it doesn't eat me and we get on well. I'm certain sewing machines are semi-sentient. Waz pouted though, apparently he had one in mind to get me. My birthday isn't for another month you understand. Poor bugger. He's so sweet and was on the right track totally with that one - generally he's a bit weak in choosing presents bless him. (Not that I can talk... I have totally failed to get him anything and his birthday is next week....We've agreed on the tasty dinner and pampering route but I have to get him SOMETHING.  Ergh. Stumped for ideas a little this year)
But anyway, it made no sense him forking out when Babs can get them for next to nowt. Yay sewing machine. I will let you know how the test drive goes.

2 Weeks till moving day. Packing must commence very soon.  And then Ann and Char's wedding which is a disaster in waiting - nothing is sorted, sleeping space is less than first thought thanks to the site allowing less tents than first promised... I have no idea what I'm going to wear... July is going to be a fairly busy one, I reckon. A wedding, my birthday and a birthday over in Brum and Maelstrom all mean there are no free weekends.  I think this year my birthday will be a quiet one. Can't really be arsed or afford a proper party or owt.

Anyway... This is long and mostly boring - sorry! So have a gorgeous tune to make up for it.
