Morning all my gorgeous F-listers :)
It's been a week already and I can't believe it's gone so quickly. This time next week I will be covered in facepaint in a field again. Can't believe that it's the last Maelstrom of the year already. 2011 you are flying by.

Work has been good if exceptionally busy. I had a minor tiff with one of my engineers yesterday and his rudeness complete with my PMSing lead to a bit of a row and a few tears on my part. I hate being female sometimes, these hormones make me crazy. He rang right back and apologised profusely for being an arse though so all is well. I think all the changes are making for short fuses on all sides but we're getting there slowly.

Tattoo! has been put on hold for a bit - partly because car troubles mean the £140 I had intended on spending on my tattoo went on fixing the car and partly because the tattooist I had in mind isn't responding to my emails and he's based in York so I can't really just stroll into the shop and ask him what's up and get things ironed out. So I have to go back to picking a tattooist. I am truly spoilt for choice here in Leeds so no problem there other than narrowing it down. Also as I am going to spend the best part of a week in a very dusty field very soon, waiting until after that seemed pretty sensible to me.

Waz and I had a date night last night. I love nectar points by the way. He drives a stupid amount for work and can collect nectar points at some petrol stations so every month or so we have enough points collected to go to the cinema for free! Last night we picked Conan which honestly was utter tripe. However, it was so B-movie-tastic and gratuitous in the way of violence and boobies and muscles and one-liners that we still really enjoyed it. Thankfully it didn't try to take itself too seriously and the acting quality was surprisingly good. The highlight has to have been Jason Momoa's abs :D But I wasn't dissapointed because I knew that was going to be the case for this particular film. Costuming was pretty intersting and generally it was a fairly good romp.

Came home at 11pm and went straight to bed because I was le tired.

Today I am off into town to meet Annie now she's back from the states and there will be cuddles and shopping and noodles. Need to pick up a few crafty bits and I want to get the yarn for the christmas blankie for his parents because GOOD LORD it's already SEPTEMBER. -_- Again I reiterate - where has 2011 gone? Christmas will be on me before I know it. Argh. Best get the hell on with the crafting.

Other news is fairly scarce. Stinky little brother is all lined up to move down to Portsmouth now and was great to see him last weekend.

Hrm. I guess that's it!

For those of you who are unaware of Joshua Radin who I have been listening to like a fiend all morning - take this in.

....Well there is but I'm too sleepy to do it!

So have a pretty song instead.

Shame there isn't a proper video for it.

As a sort of PS...Tattooed lovelies on my F-List... I am sure you're familiar with the sensation and I wanted to share it. I feel I am right on the cusp of having my next ink settled in my mind. It's been mulling for months. I've picked my text and I have a distinct 'vibe' ... It's now all about finding a handful of references and a tattooist who can translate this inkling (pun intended...sorry.. I said I was tired okay?)... into bloody reality. It's a tingly feeling!

Larp is tiring. As is driving several hours to get there and back, pitching and taking down tents, not sleeping much and it being very hot.

Awesome weekend. Much good stuff happened. There was tea and cake and new friends and old friends, IC and OOC. All in all good stuff. Very Keen for the next event now but am going to have to ask for the ticket to go as a birthday present otherwise might not be able to afford it. House moving, it are expensive.

Had a lovely day yesterday, was at Jon and Chrissy's for dinner after work. Those two are more 'his' friends than mine but a gorgeous couple, really warm and really friendly and I look forward to getting to know them better. They've just recently (7 months ago recently) sprogged and the wee one is a super cute wee boy going by Ewan. They are fab parents (not that I know! But they seem happy doing it and have a really earthy, calm approach to it) and very much in love which is just great to be witness to. Needless to say we wound up staying far later than originally intended hence still being tired. Argh. So Tired.

Tonight was Mother's Meeting. A good un but sadly sans Emma. She got called away on Super Important Laweryly business. We caught up with Han and had chilli followed by lemon tart and swiss roll. Decadent and lovely. Lucky Han has been in Japan for the last month so there was lots of Japan related nostalgia and envy. It's great to have her back though, I missed her dopey ways.

House moving is almost upon us. Work is dull but mostly steady. Waz and I are off to Wales this weekend which I am VERY much looking forward to. Yes it's a fairly long way to go... but we get well looked after and it's always nice to see the in-laws who I am very fond of.

Also I got my birthday pressie from Cat and her mummy early. I'd been on about getting a sewing machine and it turns out that Cat's mummy, Babs, wheels and deals them at auction and stuff. The whole family were tailors don't you know and she knows her onions. So I have a lovely Brother sat on my table, patiently waiting to eat me. I hope it doesn't eat me and we get on well. I'm certain sewing machines are semi-sentient. Waz pouted though, apparently he had one in mind to get me. My birthday isn't for another month you understand. Poor bugger. He's so sweet and was on the right track totally with that one - generally he's a bit weak in choosing presents bless him. (Not that I can talk... I have totally failed to get him anything and his birthday is next week....We've agreed on the tasty dinner and pampering route but I have to get him SOMETHING.  Ergh. Stumped for ideas a little this year)
But anyway, it made no sense him forking out when Babs can get them for next to nowt. Yay sewing machine. I will let you know how the test drive goes.

2 Weeks till moving day. Packing must commence very soon.  And then Ann and Char's wedding which is a disaster in waiting - nothing is sorted, sleeping space is less than first thought thanks to the site allowing less tents than first promised... I have no idea what I'm going to wear... July is going to be a fairly busy one, I reckon. A wedding, my birthday and a birthday over in Brum and Maelstrom all mean there are no free weekends.  I think this year my birthday will be a quiet one. Can't really be arsed or afford a proper party or owt.

Anyway... This is long and mostly boring - sorry! So have a gorgeous tune to make up for it.

This song. His voice. Mmmmm... And that line right there... "It's too cold outside for angels to fly,"

Stupid photobucket. Between that and LJ being rubbish my online world is falling apart around me! Le gasp.

I wanted to upload photos of the finished article that is my blankie. Sadly it's not possible due to photobucket fail. If anybody is on Ravelry though I can be found at roguedreams and you can see it there.

Instead I shall simply share these beauties.

Blankie!

This icon is not at all appropriate but mmm Jensen.

I am merely posting because I am happily crocheting whilst moshing out to Disturbed and felt the need to share that with the Internet.

Good times.

And the damnable thing is nearly done! I will post pictures when we're there.

....was AWESOME!! MY gosh that young lady has a pair of pipes on her! What a corking voice. She is very talented. Put on a great show too! Waz and I had a fab view - we managed to grab a seat at the front of the balcony. The band she was with were all really talented and just the whole atmosphere was ace. It was really chilled out and fun. I think she would gig very well open air as she did in a dingy student union.

^-^

Good night all right. Chips on the way home. Now, to bed.

Life has been..interesting..this past fornight or so. Lots of being kicked in the balls for both myself and friends/family.
My boy and I have had some fairly serious heart-to-hearts and ironed out a few creases. We've not yet crossed the 18th month hurdle as it were so I guess it was hard to go through our first real 'bad patch'.

Conversation and lots of cuddles and lots of honesty have sorted those few hiccups and things are better between us now than ever.

Relationships are hard. No denying that.

I've been sick as a dog on and off as well which doesn't help. Particularly last night where my body decided to wage full rebellion against me, complete with digestive pyrotechnics. Ick.

We had plans for today that involved the shopping for materials and creation of a bustle. The first part was successful, but the thought of going anywhere near that sewing machine - which by the way hates me at the best of times - is not something I relish. So I tried to finish up some crochet and am about to settle into Chobits instead.

Had semi-plans to attend a doll meet tomorrow but Kai needs his lip ring reattaching as I'd want to take him more than anyone else. Also if I'm feeling anywhere as feeble as I do now in the morning there's simply no chance. I'd rather spend the day in bed, catching up with laundry and trying to get ahead with this gorram blanket that seems endless.

Loving this song right now.

On the one side I am worrying for friends in Japan and East Asia right now. My heart goes out to them and everyone else affected by the natural disasters in that part of the world. Fortunately most of my friends I've heard from, all but one in Japan have been accounted for and I hope to hear about that last lady soon enough.

On the other side.... Eliza Doolittle gig tickets - Get!
